An unnecessarily long introduction post

So within this month (and especially withing this day) quite a few new followers have found their way to my blog and I thought I’d say hi and ramble a bit about myself. I’m Sdalla. I study fine arts and major in printmaking even though I really wanted to become a sculptor, but not really, I just thought it’d be nice to know how to work with different materials. I wish to have a career in illustration and design, I suppose, and I sometimes find myself panicking over “I should be doing more proper stuff jkdshfsbjh” refering to maybe having actual clients or solo shows or something instead of just drawing for the sake of entertainment and learning, which is pretty much what I do at the moment :’D.

I like to draw, obviously. I read a moderate amount of books, but I feel like I should read more. I love music and would love to make some myself. I’ve played the piano for 8 years (and there’s been a 7-year-break so I suck at it quite bad). Nowadays I play the ukulele and the violin. Not very well though, but still, I enjoy both. I wish I was a gamer but I’m not, because even The Windwaker makes me panic and shout and throw the controller across the room. I like to watch people play though. I miss traveling, I used to hitchhike a lot, but now that I live here and study and stuff I don’t really hitchhike that much anymore. But I never stopped being adventurous. I still want to travel. A lot.

I live with two flatmates and a cat called Lithium. Life’s pretty nice.

I like typography and graphic design and interior design and antiques and old cars and fashion stuff and Doctor Who and Sherlock (BBC and Granada) and My Little Pony: FiM and Community and Gossip Girl and Game of Thrones and Poirot and Mitchell and Webb and Wilfred and Arrested Development and knrsrkjgblsdnk I don’t know, a lot of stuff. I like liking stuff.

Awkwardly long ramble lalalalala. HI and THANKS FOR FOLLOWING. DON’T BE AFRAID TO APPROACH ME WITH STUFF even though I’m a bit awkward. And….yeah.

If you like, you can share something about yourself, tell about what you like or or or what made you happy today oooooor request me to draw something specific?

  • Fanart week! Requests, gimme gimme

OK! I have now put all the posts until January 23rd nicely on queue. That’ll be two sketches a day, y’all!

I just don’t want to spend the whole month NOT drawing anything new so I thought I’d do 6 or 7 fanart requests for the following week! (I say six or seven because I have one unfinished Sherlock-fanart that I will post next week. If I finish it. It’s been kinda hard to work on it because….of…all the, ehm..emotions…so I, umm, might have to take a break from that particular illustration…. But yeah, I also have, like, 3 unfinished digital Doctor Who-fanarts and one pic of Inspector Spacetime. But I might not finish them by next week. Or if I will, won’t post them. Requests are more fun.)

So yeah. Drop your requests on my ask (with references if you want to) or present them here. I will pick six or seven of them and post them next week. Yay!

Obligatory question mark to possibly enable replies: ?

  • DemonChild for antheawest
Whenever I’m being photographed (and I hate being photographed) I try to look silly as possible to hide my awkwardness in front of the camera. So I always do the smirky duckface. And it looks dorky. This character seemed cheery enough to do the smirk just for the fun of it, not to mock the… whatever she’s being documented with in the 2D universe :D
